Terms and Conditions

 

  1. The person making the booking is responsible for the booking and must be over 21 years of age.  He or she warrants that the party consists of a family or part of a family. We reserve the right to refuse any booking.
  2. No more than the maximum number of persons stated on the booking shall be permitted to occupy the accommodation booked (a child or baby of whatever age counts as one person).
  3. No all male or all female groups of more than 2 people under 21 are accepted.
  4. No smoking or vaping is permitted inside The Old Mill House under any circumstances and this will result in the loss of your entire damage deposit. Smoking is permitted in the outside areas. 
  5. Guests are required to pay £100 Security/damage deposit, which is paid within 4 weeks of the holiday. This is refunded within 3 days of departure, providing that there has been no damage to the cottage, this will be returned to you by BACS transfer direct into your bank account.
  6. Arrival time is from 4pm and departure time is before 10am
  7. Guests are required to leave their accommodation in a clean and tidy condition and any damage or breakages should be notified to the owner and either replaced like for like before departure or monies will be deducted from the £100 damage deposit to cover any costs or replacements.  Any damage/excess cleaning/costs incurred above £100 will be invoiced to the guests home address for payment within 7 days.
  8. Subject to prior agreement three well behaved dogs are welcome at £30 per stay, Dogs are not allowed on the beds. We provide throws for sofas.
  9. The keys will be left in the keybox by the back door on your arrival and should be left there on your departure. I will email you the code a few days prior to arrival.
  10. Your booking can be secured on receipt of a £100 non returnable booking deposit with your completed booking form within 5 days.  The balance is due 4 weeks before arrival.  If the balance is not paid within this time then your booking will automatically be cancelled and your deposit will not be refunded. If the booking is made within 4 weeks of the arrival date, the total payment must be made along with the completed booking form within 5 days of receipt to secure the booking.
  11. If cancellation is requested more than 4 weeks before the arrival date, any monies paid will be refunded minus the reservation deposit of £100. If cancellation is requested less than 4 weeks before the arrival date we reserve the right to keep all monies paid, but will try very hard to re book the property and if successful will refund you any monies paid minus the reservation deposit of £100.
  12. It is recommended that you take out your own travel insurance to cover you for cancellation due to illness/accident etc.
  13. When booking you will be required to provide your home address, contact number, together with the names of each member of your party together with ages of those under 18.
  14. We will not be liable for any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience to person or property suffered by the guest or any other person arising from or in any way connected with the letting. You are therefore strongly advised to take out adequate holiday insurance to cover you for your stay. Any personal belongings left at the property will be returned at the guests expense if requested.
  15. Non availability of property. If for any reason beyond our control (eg fire or flood) the property is not available for the dates booked all rent and charges paid in advance by the guest will be refunded, We cannot however be responsible for matters out of our control during your stay that may cause disruption eg building works or disruption to supplies by utility suppliers. 
  16. The price is for your exclusive use of The Old Mill House, with inclusive electricity, central heating, hot water, unlimited fibre wifi, use of both t.v's, cotton bedding, bath and hand towels and your welcome gifts. In the off season we provide Kindle and logs for the fire. A highchair is available located in the second lounge at no additional charge.
  17. We respect that this is to be your home for the duration of the stay and want it to feel that way. We ask that you be respectful to neighbours and neighbouring properties. Communication is key, Please contact us at any time during your stay if there is anything that you are not happy with or if you have any problems (and also if there are any breakages..!) and we will respond as quickly as possible. Our main intention is for you to have a wonderful holiday and to enjoy your stay at The Old Mill House.
