Just back from a fantastic two night stay at The Old Mill house. The house is big with plenty of space for a large family and off street parking outside the front door. The house had everything you need and the 6am till 11pm Tesco a few doors down very handy but with several great takeaways and places to eat within walking distance I didn’t worry about cooking. Local beach a 5min drive but my dogs and I loved Old Hunstanton beach which was 10min drive also Sandringham park was fantastic. Everything about my booking was great. Highly recommended and I would love to return. P.s guest treat and dog treats on arrival a nice surprise

We had an amazing few days in Heacham, such a lovely base for exploring Norfolk. Having shops, pubs and the beach within walking distance was so convenient. Claire's house was absolutely perfect - quality fittings, well equipped and outside space to enjoy a glass of wine. Tilly the dog was also extremely well catered for! Highly recommend it - and we shall definitely be back!

Lovely cosy cottage ( once we got fire going), The cottage has everything you need for your stay and very clean. Tesco next door is a bonus.
Welcome pack and doggy treats appreciated. Walking distance to a lovely pub for Sunday lunch Bushel and Strike( new owners) .
Near to beaches which our dogs loved.
Lovely village and making us think to move there.
Claire is a perfect host.

Gorgeous property. So homely. Fabulous sized rooms and bathrooms, the house was clean and tidy and the welcome goodies were a delightful touch. The house had everything you could want and more. Our 4 year old was very impressed with the playroom.
We were only staying for a few days, but managed to see a lot of Norfolk with The Old Mill House being our base. Heacham itself has a gorgeous beach and a number of eateries, including dog friendly pubs and a Tesco, perfect for all those essentials. Would 100% recommend this house. We will be back.

The Old Mill House is quite simply perfect. Having just spent a week with 4 adults and 2 children Old Mill House was the perfect choice. Fortunately we only managed to get the cottage due to a cancellation and from the very start Claire has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Claire is prompt in her replies and is very well organised from the moment of booking to departing. Old Mill House is home from home, exceptionally well presented, large and spacious with plenty of room to spread out with the added benefit of a super sunny court yard garden and off street parking for 2+ cars. The kitchen is well equipped, great WiFi if needed and comfy beds. Two great bathrooms also are a huge benefit especially when you have 4 adults staying there. Old Mill House is superbly placed, just a short drive off the main road with easy access to Hunstanton and beyond, North Heacham beach is a 15 minute walk away and Heacham has plenty of amenities on hand including a Tesco Express a 2 minute walk away. The wood fired pizza van on a Wednesday is a must but you do need to book them in advance. This holiday is our first for 3 years and our first in the UK for 20+ years - we wanted somewhere to take my daughter and her partner and my 2 grandchildren (it was their very first holiday) so had lots of high expectations - it has not disappointed and we will certainly be looking to return and would have no hesitation in recommending Old Mill House as the perfect place to spend time in this beautiful part of the country. Thank you Claire and Kelly for providing us with so many superb holiday memories.

Starting at the beginning, the information provided and correspondence from Claire the owner was first class.
On arrival at The Old Mill House we immediately felt a sense of cosy home from home atmosphere. The sofas are comfortable for a relaxed night in. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could need including dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer. The bedrooms are roomy, nicely decorated with comfortable beds in all the rooms. The bathrooms were very well appointed with lovely roomy showers and a choice of a bath too.
As well as being dog friendly can I just say everywhere was spotlessly clean. The welcome pack for us and the dogs were indeed very welcome.
There is a small courtyard with tables and chairs, a barbecue and lovely flowering honeysuckle and roses.
The location is fantastic, as well as a Tesco express 2 minutes away there is a fish and chip shop, Indian restaurant, post office and bakery just around the corner. South and North Heacham beaches are a 5 minute drive away.
Our favourite beach is Brancaster but we also visited Snettisham which was very nice and probably quieter. The dogs absolutely loved the walk in Snettisham woods which we would definitely visit again. I would also recommend The Orange Tree pub and restaurant. A little pricey but we had an amazing meal there with really good service.
On the whole I would definitely recommend the Old Mill House and stay there again myself

The cottage is a real home from home and has everything you will need during your stay. It has so much space and a lot of character. The king size bed is so comfortable with the on-suite a real bonus. Heacham is a lovely village and ideally situated to explore the many local attraction’s and beaches. Never seen so many ducks as there are in the village pond!!

Just, WOW. We could not have wanted more, what a beautiful home, everything catered for, down to buckets and spades. We had a week with our two spaniels and a 2 year old. Ours I might add, these were not optional extras! Parking was fantastic, more than enough room for our car and off road. The house itself is lovely, warm and welcoming as expected. more than enough rooms for us and the addition of the cot was a welcome sight. Isaac absolutely loved the little nook with all the toys in, what a brilliant idea! The village itself is fantastic, we had to have the car repaired at a local garage, despite being fully booked they slotted us in. The shop a couple of doors down was a lifesaver too. The village green with its play area and a few ponds dotted around made for a lovely walk. The beach itself took around 15 minutes to walk to each day. There is a car park there but we do like to tire Isaac out for our own sanity. Even the sealife center and next village was only a quick drive. Literally a perfect break for us and we look forward to returning.

This is a cosy and comfortable cottage that is very clean and well equipped. The welcome pack was such a lovely touch and Ted the dog loved his doggy treats. Claire was so prompt answering questions and the information she provided was very helpful! The location is great too and there are a couple of pubs and the beach at Heacham a short walk away: we would definitely come back again!

This house is fantastic. Claire is such a good host, we had no problems whatsoever. Our party consisted of four adults, a toddler and a dog, and the house was perfect for us. The children’s toys/playroom was great and we felt the house was really cosy, well-equipped, beautifully presented, and spotless. The location is lovely, we really enjoyed exploring Heacham and the surrounding area.

The old Mill is in a great location, is very well equipped and perfect for families. The toys, cot, stair gates, high chair and child’s plates bowls and cutlery just make everything so much easier. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit this area. X

I would highly recommend this cottage. It was pristinely clean when we arrived, and is very well equipped with everything you could need. We were just 2 adults and very comfortable, but the house would be ideal for families with a playroom and children's books and board games. Position is excellent, 5 minutes drive to beach and 5 minutes walk to Norfolk lavender, and very closest Hunstanton and North Norfolk coast. Another lovely feature was welcome food pack of goodies. Lovely clean holiday cottage which is very well set up for families with young children or adults. The location is great and is perfectly situated in the town and only a short way to South beach. Claire is super helpful and is always on hand with any questions. Have returned twice and will definitely be back in the future.

What a delightful find in Heacham. Claire is a very thoughtful host who responded to all my questions very promptly and made us fell safe and welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful cottage. Very spacious, stylishly decorated, very well equipped and situated in lovely village with stunning beaches. Claire is an excellent host - we didn’t meet her but she responded promptly to enquiries, was very helpful and check in was easy. Recommended.

Great host, spotless home, nothing too much trouble. Ideal for families with dogs. Spacious and an enclosed back garden for the dogs. Beach just a short walk away and main town just a ten minute drive. Heacham has everything you need, from pubs, takeaways, chemist as well as mini Supermarket a couple of doors down. Claire has made her home inviting and the finishing touches made it feel like home from home, even had games and books for smaller kids and brilliant WiFi and Netflix for our teenagers. She even provide dog bowls and treats for our two Bassett hounds. I would throughly recommend this place to stay.

Such a lot of careful thought has gone into making this a great place to stay, Amazing weather for most of the week, and we really enjoyed the beach at Old Hunstanton, The kids loved Norfolk Lavender too, only 5 minutes away!, Thank you

The house was clean, well equipped and with plenty of space for the four of us. The location was perfect for us to explore this area of Norfolk which is beautiful. Also we found it very handy to be so close to the supermarket. We would be happy to stay here again.

From the moment we walked into the house we felt at home. Such a lovely clean, cosy house. Bags of room, steeped in history, so handy to have the parking outside which is ample for our car. The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfy too! Perfect after a busy day! Can not fault anything we will all love to go back and didn’t want to leave - highly recommend The Old Mill House for any type of break as it catered for all our needs.

We have enjoyed a short break in this gorgeous home from home. Heacham is our favourite place to stay in Norfolk and this gem of a house is now one of our favourite places too. It has everything you could ever need, and more besides. Claire is very quick to reply to messages, and was really helpful when we needed her. We will look to book again as soon as we can!

When I booked The Old Mill House I was just looking for a convenient place to stay. We were all completely stunned at how lovely The Old Mill House is, with its own driveway and private patio area. The three bedrooms are huge and the house is tastefully furnished throughout. We especially liked the wood panelling around the windows in the lounge and dining room which gave it a warm and welcoming feel. The bathroom upstairs has a roomy shower and is beautifully tiled. There is another toilet downstairs and the kitchen extremely well appointed. We really appreciated the welcome pack and ice cubes in the deep-freeze when we arrived on a hot and sunny day. The area is really interesting whether you are a family with young children, a couple wanting to get away for a break at the sea-side or a family re-uniting for some time together. Claire has been a fantastic and thoughtful host. Highly recommend staying at The Old MillHouse.

The Old Mill House is a home from home, in immaculate condition and clearly well loved by its owners. It is close to shops and barely 3 minute drive to some lovely beaches. The well positioned access to north Norfolk without being in the centre of a busy town is perfect. I hope to stay again in the future.
